About us

Re-imagining South African mining to improve people's lives

Goldvista is a Johannesburg-headquartered mining group with eleven operations across five provinces, producing gold, platinum group metals, iron ore, manganese and diamonds.

Our purpose

Mining with purpose, not just permission

South Africa's mineral wealth built its cities and, too often, cost its people dearly. Goldvista exists to prove that the industry can do better: that a mine can be a fifty-year engine of skills, enterprise and infrastructure for the towns around it, and can hand back rehabilitated land when the orebody is exhausted.

That means investing ahead of regulation — in water recycling, renewable power, mechanisation that removes people from hazardous work, and procurement that puts real money into host-community businesses. It also means being transparent when we fall short.

Our values

Four commitments that govern how we operate

Safety first, always

Zero harm is not a target, it is a condition of operating. Every shift begins and ends with the same commitment.

Care and respect

We treat colleagues, communities and the land with dignity. Our social licence is earned daily.

Accountability

We publish what we produce, what we spend and what we emit — and we answer for all three.

Innovation

Fifty years of mining has taught us that the next tonne must be cleaner and smarter than the last.
